When the organizational logic of national politics allows the political and economic dynamics of the European Union to become its part, it might also refer as the process of Europeanization. Policy-making in this governmental judgment has also been included in the definition of the Europeanization.   Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚   Within a European context, national, regional, and other identities are re-defined by the leading of European governance at its various levels by the institutional interaction of policy actors, as posits by a more nuanced analysis. In this regard, opposition is not usually seen among the multiple levels of governance in the continent of Europe.   Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚   In this way, a stronger, strengthened, and the United States is found to be gathering collectively under the name of Europeanization. In the result, identification of these European states is being done collectively, rather than identifying them as German, French, etc, as it was done in the past by different European states in the continent   Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚   Institutions of Europe consist of an obvious area of change in them particularly. In addition, the growth of the European Union has also been changed during the process of Europeanization. In this case, the European Central Bank has been provided with the monetary policy of various nations that have been using the euro as their national currency.   Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚   In this regard, Spain is one of the European countries that have gone through the process of Europeanization since many years, and a full European government has been eventually lead by the continuing process of Europeanization in the country. In this study, we will try to understand the process of Europeanization from the case study of Spain. Government, politics, and culture of the Spain will be focused, in order to understand the significance of Europeanization, as well as, the European Union in the continent of Europe.   Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚   An example of pacific democratization has been underlined by the establishment of democratic model, as well as, after the Franco’s death during the transition of the Spain. A unique example has been highlighted by the abovementioned in this regard. The devolution of competencies concerning the different regions has been achieved by the first steps of autonomous communities’ concept and system in the Spain.   Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚   In the last years, appearance of regional statutes has been done in different reforms due to high extent of strong questioning than ever before. In one’s perception, more competencies and decentralization have being claimed by the regional powers. Almost independent projects have been covered by these reforms. The Spanish parliament rejected Ibarretxe’s Plan on February 2005.   Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚   Some of the main points of the new statutes are the equality between autonomous communities and countries, empowering the self-government, and nationality in the region. As the central-state in shape of unique actor in international matters has been recognized by the Spanish constitution only, one of the most problematic aspects has been the direct international representation of the Spain in the world.   Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚   In this sense, some of the aspects that conflict between the regional forces and central state are the implementation and decision-making processes of the European Union. The autonomous communities have been influenced by one of the most influential factors with the help of the regional policy of the European level, even after twenty years of association with the European Union by the Spain. EUROPEAN INTEGRATION   Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚   The barriers of national state of Spain have been over gone by the integration process of Europeanization in the continent. In 1988, the structural funds were reformed during the process. In this process, the commission, the concerned member states, and the recognized and designated competent authorities have consulted closely, in order to define the term partnership. In this case, the problems and priorities of targeted regions were familiarizing with the local, as well as, the regional actors, in order to create the efficiency of the regional policy through the abovementioned local and regional involvement by an attempt of the partnership principle. In this case, the regions were given the chance and opportunities for the first time to create their own regional policy, rather than following one in the region. From the beginning of the text, this point was reinforced by the Treaty of Maastricht. According to this treaty, the citizens of the continent were encouraged to become closer, in order to make effective decisions in the region, and to recognize the objective based on united Europe, rather than for individual states. Therefore, the structures would not be left equally in the European Union by the expansion of actors in it. In this case, private spheres were also included along with the regional actors during the expansion. In the result, the complex system of transnational decision-making has been integrated in the continent of the Europe. In this regard, the wider framework of European policy system has been provided to these regional and national states, in order to defend and represent their interest in the continent. The process of the combination of different European states with the Spain has been referred as the sandwich model by some authors. However, the Spain has faced the lost of territorial sovereignty, but in the European level, its regional position has been strengthened and revaluated during the process of Europeanization. In the European level, the empowerment of regional actors has not only been faced by the Spanish national state, however, it has also been faced within its own barriers. In other words, the territorial space and the functional space have been facing a friction in the Spanish state. Newly functional bonds have been replaced by the long existing territorial lies in the region. In the Spain, the concept of government has been widened with that of the governance due to this continuous process of Europeanization in the region. At the same time, the role of national governments, and particularly Spain, has been strengthened by the regional policy of the European Union in the region. In this regard, the policy-making and decision-making opportunities have been given to the Spanish national state by the European Union. PARTICIPATION OF AUTONOMOUS COMMUNITIES IN EUROPEANIZATION The process of Europeanization has been made difficult by the weak territorial framework, as well as, the institutions. In the last twenty years, an initial competitive adaptive strategy has been replaced by the autonomous communities, in which, each competencies against the central state has been preserved by each region. Some of the examples of this moving from an initial strategy are the new framework of 2004, which were created in the CARCE, as well as, the Inter-ministerial Conference on the European Affairs, which was held in the year 1988. The transfer of both national and regional competencies has been allowed by the Spanish constitution, as well as, its legal framework to the European level. In this regard, the consent of the autonomous communities has not been required during the transformation. In this case, the regional powers and central state have gone through a feeling of friction between them. At the beginning of the Europeanization process, the losing of competencies was not concerned by the autonomous competencies in their important fields of agriculture, fishery, industry, etc. Even they felt that competencies were regained by the central state by the utilization of transfer power, and by implementing community law to the autonomous communities. The central administration and regional governments came under the competitive situation due to the abovementioned reason, which occurred during the 80s, as well as, in the beginning of 90s in region. Therefore, the abovementioned are some of the factors that changed the situation of Spain during the process of Europeanization in the region, and which changed the perception of local, as well as, the regional states in the continent.    AGREEMENT OF 1985   Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚   In 1985, the Spain accessed to the European Council, before which, European policy-making was analyzed, in order to find the coordination and cooperation inter-governmentally in the central regions. In the implementation of European legal acts, the Spanish regions were tried to participate by the regulation of proposal of the central administration.   Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚   In relation with the Spanish stage, the distribution of responsibilities was proposed by the Spanish government, where the European policies were transposed by the central state, while the practice was put on by the autonomous communities. The project of agreement of 1985 was not found to be so specific during the decision-making process in the European level. However, this agreement is considered as one of the important aspects during the transformation of Spanish government into a unified European state. SPANISH GOVERNMENT’S SECOND PROPOSAL   Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚   After the rejection of the first proposal in 1985, second proposal was given by the Spanish legal framework in the year 1986. In this proposal, some considerations of the first proposal that was failed were taken by the Spanish central-administration. Domestic policy-making was proposed by the Spain, in order to distribute the responsibilities effectively in the region.   Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚   On the decision making stage, the regional governments were provided with all European governments as per the proposal of Spanish government. The competencies, their interests, and their related information were also provided in this second proposal of the Spain. Interestingly, the idea of an inter-autonomous coordination body was the most interesting and fascinating point of the second proposal of the Spain, which was affected the proud culture of the Spain, which was usually depended on its domestic policies, rather than depending on the responsibilities and actions of the regional states in the region. SPANISH GOVERNMENT’S THIRD PROPOSAL   Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚   The conditions of the 1986 project were kept similar in the third draft of the Spanish government regarding the European policies in the Spain, as well as, in the other regional states. However, the participation of autonomous communities changed in the level of decision-making. In this proposal, the idea of an inter-autonomous coordinating body was dropped by the Spain, and a possible forum was seen as the Sectarian Conferences. However, new inter-governmental coordination mechanism was allowed for the discussion in this third proposal of the Spain. INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENTS   Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚   After the rejection of all the three proposals of the Spanish government regarding the participation of autonomous communities in the implementation of the European policies, an institutionalized dialogue was created by partial agreements, known as the intergovernmental agreements. Therefore, the Inter-ministerial Conference on the European Affairs was created on December 1988. The three basic principles were formulated in the second session of this conference in the year 1989.   Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚   According to these principles, the central state belong the exclusive competence regarding its foreign relations with the regional bodies of the region. Secondly, the internal distribution of the competencies must not be affected by the accession of Spanish government in the European Union. Thirdly, the second session formulated that the legal framework of the Spanish Constitution should be followed by the central state during the exercise of their competencies. PROCEDURAL FRAMEWORK IN 1994 Finally, intrastate participation of autonomous communities was provided by a comprehensive agreement of the Spanish government, the European Union policies were implemented in the decision making level as per the agreement. The principle of unity in external representation was respected by the new agreement. In this way, the autonomous participation was allowed in their different fields of agriculture, environment, employment, fishery, health, social policies, education, etc. In addition, youth and culture were also given a significance importance, in order to keep their significant magnitude in the region. CONCLUSION In the Spanish recent history, the relation and act of the two processes that are, Europeanization, and decentralization have been observed parallel with each other. In the result, the problems of intrusion and conflict have been caused most of the time between the regional and central-state governments. In the last years, one of the most important questions have been faced by the European Union regarding its integration process, which is the question of democracy, as the reflection of France and Netherlands have been observed in the shape of their constitutional referendums. Conclusively, the process of Europeanization can be understood interestingly by the example of the Spanish reality in asymmetrical states. The governance in European Union level and its work can be extrapolated in this sense. Lastly, we have tried our best to define, understand, and discuss the meaning of Europeanization with the case study of Spain and its central state, as well as, their different proposals regarding the Europeanization in the region.                         Works Cited Robert Harmsen. Creative Art Therapy on Schizophrenia | Literature Review CHAPTER II REVIEW OF LITERATURE A literature review is an account of what has been published on a topic by accredited scholars and researchers. As a piece of writing, the literature review must be defined by a guiding concept. It is not just a descriptive list of the material available, or a set of summaries. (Dena taylor-2010). A literature review is a text written by someone to consider the critical points of current knowledge including substantive findings as well as theoretical and methodological contributions to a particular topic. Review of literature is a written summary of the state of an art on a research problem. It helps the researcher to familiarize themselves with the knowledge base. It includes the activities involved in identifying and searching comprehensive picture of a state of knowledge on that topic (Polit and Hungler, 1995). The review of literature has been described under the following headings: SECTION A: Studies related to schizophrenia SECTION B: Studies related to Creative Art Therapy SECTION C: Studies related to Creative Art Therapy on schizophrenia SECTION A: STUDIES RELATED TO SCHIZOPHRENIA An experimental study was conducted to assess the effectiveness of clozapine in the treatment of resistant schizophrenia in Beijing, China. Twenty two patients with treatment of resistant schizophrenia were selected for the study by using randomized sampling technique. This samples were assessed by using the positive and negative syndrome scale for schizophrenia. The results showed that 60% of the study participants responded to clozapine therapy during the observation period. The researcher concluded that clozapine has therapeutic efficacy in treatment of resistant schizophrenia. (Xiang,Y. T, 2009). A descriptive study was conducted to assess the importance of genetic factors in men with early onset of schizophrenia in Surat, India. A total sample of 40 male schizophrenic patients with clinical onset before the age of 25 years were selected by using convenience sampling technique. Samples were assessed by using structured questionnaire. The results showed that one of the parent of 12(30%) patients had the history of schizophrenia. The researcher concluded that the genetic causes are more important in the etiology of schizophrenia. (Mukesh Patel, 2009). A descriptive study was conducted to assess the side effects of antipsychotic drugs in patients with chronic schizophrenia. A total no.of 1493 schizophrenic patients were recruited at 57 United states sites by using convenience sampling technique. They were evaluated using the positive and negative syndrome scale for schizophrenia. The result showed that olanzapine was associated with more discontinuation for weight gain or metabolic effects and perphenazine was associated with more discontinuation due to the presence of extra pyramidal effects. The researcher concluded that majority of patients discontinued the medicines owing to inefficacy or intolerable side effects or for other reasons. (Lieberman,J.A, 2005). A descriptive study was conducted to assess the association between violence and schizophrenia in Mullen, Australia. A total no.of 40 patients were selected by using purposive sampling technique. Patients were assessed by using structured questionnaire. Research shows that violence is a result of comorbid substance abuse or psychotic symptoms. The result showed that most studies conform the association between violence and schizophrenia. The researcher concluded that the proportion of violent crime in society attributable to schizophrenia falls below 10 %. ( Walsh,E. 1997). A preliminary study was conducted to assess the effect of psycho education program on self efficacy of schizophrenic patients utilizing the psychiatric day care. A total no.of 33 schizophrenic patients utilizing the psychiatric day care were selected by convenience sampling technique for this study. Generalized Self Efficacy Scale (GSE Scale) was used for the evaluation 1 month before intervention, immediately before intervention and after the completion of intervention. He has incorporated the social skills training into psycho education. The results showed that Self Efficacy score changed significantly between immediately before and after completion of the intervention. The investigators concluded that the psycho education was effective in increasing the self efficacy among schizophrenic patients. (Yamaji ,2005). An explorative study was conducted to assess the behavioral impairments and social disabilities among schizophrenic patients. A total no of 520 patients from seven countries were participated in the study. Disability assessment scale and Psychological impairments assessment scale were used to for this study. The results showed that there is an impairment in sexual relationship, workplace, self care and also in social roles. Negative symptoms such as inactivity, loss of interest, initiative and poverty of speech also present in the patients. (WHO, 2000). A descriptive study was conducted by Schizophrenia Research Foundation and Madras Medical College to assess the prevalence of schizophrenia in Tamil Nadu. Two areas Chintadripet and Triplicane were chosen for the study and door to door survey technique was adopted. The Indian psychiatric survey schedule and present state examination schedule was used for assessing the prevalence of the schizophrenia. The study was concluded that the prevalence rate of schizophrenia was highest in the area and a higher rate have seen in males and in age group of 15 – 45 years respectively. The higher prevalence rates were shown in slum areas, those living alone, in those with no schooling, in Christian communities and in the unemployed group. (Padmavathi, 1998). SECTION B: STUDIES RELATED TO CREATIVE ART THERAPY An experimental study was conducted on the effectiveness of Creative Art Therapy on the treatment of aggression in Netherland. A total no.of 100 samples were selected by using convenience sampling technique. They were used the structured questionnaire in this study. The results showed that expressing aggression with help of art material safely helps to explore one’s aggression. The researcher concluded that art therapy is an useful modality to suppress the anger that explodes in uncontrolled destructive aggression. (Henk, 2006). An interventional study was conducted to assess the effectiveness of Creative Art Therapy in reducing anxiety and fear in hospitalized children in Punjab, India. Samples of 22 children in the age group of 3-10 years were selected by using the convenience sampling technique. Creative Art therapy intervention was given 60 minutes for seven days. The Beck Anxiety Inventory Scale was used to measure the anxiety of the samples. The result shows that there was a significant difference between pre test (22%) and post test (11%) scores of anxiety. So the researcher concluded that the creative art therapy is effective in reducing fear and and anxiety among hospitalized children. (Hamre.H,J, 2006). An experimental study was conducted to assess the effectiveness of creative art therapy with incarcerated women who have experienced the death of a loved one. A total no.of 7 samples were selected by using purposive sampling technique. Semi structured interview was conducted before the study. One hour Creative Art Therapy sessions were offered to eight incarcerated bereaved women for a period of eight weeks. After two weeks after treatment, a 45-minute interview provided to the women with the opportunity to describe their personal experiences and responses in regard to the Creative art Therapy sessions. Result shown that seven women described positive outcomes following the Creative Art Therapy intervention and they had an opportunity to express their feelings. (Horn et al., 2004) An experimental study was conducted on the effectiveness of Creative Art Therapy and cognitive behavior therapy with sexually abused children. A total no.of 120 samples were selected in the age group between 8-11 years by using purposive sampling technique. Two group research design were used by dividing the group into two groups, 60 children in each group. Therapy sessions were held once a week for 12 weeks. Symptoms were assessed with trauma symptom checklist for children. The result showed that there is a significant reduction in symptoms commonly associated with sexual abuse who had been received creative art therapy than cognitive behavior therapy. (Pifalo. T, 2002). An experimental study was conducted to assess the effectiveness of creative art therapy on self esteem and anxiety of nursing home elderly residents. Quasi experimental research design was used. A total no.of 20 older adult psychiatric patients were selected by using purposive sampling technique. The state trait Anxiety Inventory Scale and Beck Depression Inventory were used to assess the anxiety and depression. Creative art therapy intervention was given three days per week for four regular weeks. The result indicated that the creative art therapy improved the level of self esteem and reduced the anxiety and depression of older adults. (Henry, L. 1997). SECTION C: STUDIES RELATED TO CREATIVE ART THERAPY ON SCHIZOPHRENIA An experimental study was conducted to assess the effectiveness of creative art therapy as an adjunctive treatment for patients with schizophrenia in London. A total no.of 43 participants were selected by using randomized sampling technique. Symptoms were assessed with the help of Positive and Negative Syndrome Scale. Allocated participants were offered with activity three sessions a week for 90 minutes per day and the duration for an average of 2 months. The result indicated that Creative Art Therapy produced statistically significant positive effect on negative symptoms. (Philrichardson, 2007). An experimental study was conducted to assess the effectiveness of creative art therapy among schizophrenic patients. Totally 45 participants were selected by using convenience sampling technique. Twenty sessions of creative art therapy have given for the selected samples. Symptoms assessed before and after the intervention by using positive and negative syndrome scale. The result showed that improved mental health especially reduction in negative and general symptoms in schizophrenia. (Crawford, 2007). An experimental study was conducted to assess the effects of Creative Art Therapy among schizophrenic patients and their relatives on symptoms, personal and social skills. Total no.of 9 patients and 7 patient’s relatives included in this study. Totally 17 sessions of Creative Art Therapy intervention were given for the patients and relatives for 30 minutes duration. Participants were assessed by using Positive and Negative Syndrome scale. Whereas all participants relatives were assessed through Beck Depression Inventory Scale. The results showed that creative art therapy can reduce negative symptoms, particularly social functioning and depressive symptoms of schizophrenia in which antipsychotics are not helpful. (Anadolu, 2013). A study was conducted to assess the effectiveness of Creative Art Therapy in acute schizophrenic patients in Berlin, Germany. A total no.of 60 samples were included in this study by using convenience sampling technique. Creative Art herapy have been given to the experimental group for 45 minutes daily for two weeks period. Before and after the study researcher were applied PANSS to all participants. The result shows that significant changes in negative symptoms and only mild effect on positive symptoms. So the researcher concluded that Creative art therapy is more effective on negative symptoms of schizophrenia. ( Dannecker, 2012). An experimental study was conducted to assess the effectiveness of Creative Art Therapy as an adjunctive treatment for people with schizophrenia in United Kingdom. A total no.of 417 samples were selected by using convenience sampling technique for the study. Group creative art therapy was delivered by the researcher for 90 minutes duration per day for two weeks. Before and after the study researcher were assessed by using PANSS to all participants. The result shows that some improvement in primary outcomes of participants. So the researcher concluded that creative art therapy can improve global functioning and reduction of symptoms in schizophrenia. (Crawford, 2012).

From the depths of Japan comes "Dance Dance Revolution", a highly active dancing video game. Playing this game is what makes it unique in a sense where instead of a normal handheld controller being used, it is played on a floor mat connected to the game console in order to actually provide an in home dancing experience. This game is currently gaining popularity in the states every day for many reasons including: the songs available to dance to, a high energy and high impact dance experience, and even a method of losing weight. Since this is a music game the quality of music is probably the most important factor in the game. The songs for the most part are very good. There is a house/eurobeat slant to the music, since eurobeat is popular in Japan. Songs like "Hyper Eurobeat" and "1998" are very energetic and make you want to get up and move. There are some slower Hip Hop and R&B songs like "Put Your Faith in Me" and "Try 2 Love U". Latin Music is also being included into the game. "Gamelan de Couple" (from Konami's Mamba A-Go-Go series) and "La Copa De La Vida" (yes that Ricky Martin song) are some examples. There are even sports classics like "We Are the Champions" and "We will Rock you". The concept of the game is simple. Directional arrows scroll up the screen, which represent dance steps. The player must step down on the corresponding arrow when it reaches on top of the screen. In writing it sounds simple, but this game will test a player's eye-hand.. err.. eye-foot coordination. All of the songs have cleverly designed dance patterns that include jumping, freeze arrows and off-beat steps. Not only do the songs have varied dance patterns but there are three difficulty settings available to the player based on how good the player is including: light, standard, and extreme. It takes time to get better at, but over all it's a fun experience, after getting past the initial embarrassment. Play video games and lose weight? It sounds unlikely, but it's true. People are using Dance Dance Revolution a a method of losing weight because of the massive amount of physical activity involved. Chris Rettig, 33, of Colerain Township, first tried this video game 2 years ago and has since lost over 90 pounds. Certain Schools have even introduced this game into their Physical Education programs instead of chasing a ball across the gym.

They said Jesus claimed to be The Messiah (King of Jews) and charged him with treason. Pilate discovered Jesus was from Galilee and sent him to Herod Antipas, Galilean ruler. Herod mocked Jesus and sent him back to Pilate. It was custom for the Roman governor to release one Jewish prisoner at the Passover season. Pilate took Jesus and another condemned Jew, Barabbas, onto the palace steps and told the crowd to choose who was to be freed. The crowd chose Barabbas, and Pilate then sentenced Jesus to die on a cross. Before he ordered the crucifixion, Pilate washed his hands in public to absolve himself of Jesus’ murder.

Visual Effects Created By E.E. Cummings In His Poetry Edward Estlin Cummings, commonly referred to as E. E. Cummings, was born on October 14, 1894 in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He was a source of vast knowledge and was responsible for many creative works other than his poetry, such as novels, plays, and paintings. He published his first book of poetry Tulips and Chimneys in 1923. Many of his poems are known for the visual effects they create through his unusual placement of words on the page, as well as, his lack of punctuation and capitalization. The manner in which Cummings arranges the words of his poems creates an image in the reader's mind of the topic he is discussing, such as a season or climbing stairs. His visual style also brings emotions, such as loneliness or cheerfulness, to the reader's mind. Due to this creativity, Cummings won many awards, such as the National Book Award and the Bollingen Prize in poetry (Marks 17). In his poem "l(a", the words are arranged in such a way that they are falling down the page. He only puts several letters of each word on a line and then continues to spell the word down the page. The main focus of the poem is about loneliness and the words almost appear to be "lonely." He uses parentheses around the phrase "a leaf falls," which appears in the middle of the poem. The remaining letters in the poem spell "loneliness." When these are placed together in the same poem, it creates an effect that there is a leaf falling from a tree to the ground where it will be lonely because it will be separated from the tree. Cummings emphasizes the image of being alone or aloof by using two versions of the word one. On the first line, he uses the letter "l," which also looks like the number "1." On ... ...number of visual effects in his poetry. He combined the lack of punctuation, capitalization, and creative spacing with his topics, such as the seasons, to convey his messages. Some readers find the visual effects in his poems disconcerting and feel that they are meaningless because of it. However, others find his visual effects helpful in gaining a deeper understanding of his poems and the messages he was trying to convey. Cummings' poems were definitely meant to be viewed rather than simply listened to so that the reader can benefit from the full effect of them. Teachers with Guns

How much should we trust our teachers? Schools have been going from bad to worse, in terms of safety. There have been a lot of shootings at schools over the years, but recently they have been over the top in horror. If teachers had guns, would the students be safer? We are going analyze schools safety, shootings in schools, and armed guards or teachers with guns. Schools have been doing a lot to limit, if not stop, the violence on school grounds. There are districts in Oklahoma that have already done a lot to prevent school violence. Putnam City School district already has security cameras in it; as a matter of fact about 30% of high schools have security cameras installed. They also have a police officer walking the halls and working as security on school grounds. The real question is, is all this security helping the district on keeping the violence down? In the case of the Putnam City district the security measures are helping. With the 750 security cameras over the 27 schools, police officers and security officers in schools, secure access entrances, lockdown drills, etcetera†¦ the schools have had a low violence rate compared to other schools across the country.Teacher Cadet Essay The bad part about this is that kids are still getting weapons into the schools. In this situation a kid can just put a weapon into his or her bag and take it into class. One of the security measures that this district is missing would be police officers with metal detectors in the entrances, when the kids are coming into class. If more school districts carried security policies as strict as Putnam City does, there would be less violence in the schools. All this is helping to lower violence in schools, rather than teachers having guns. Giving teacher guns will increase the pressure on schools and may cause more harm then good. Even though the Newton, Connecticut shooting was horrible not all situations are like this. There were 27 people killed in the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting. This was done by a mentally ill person. Not all situations are going to be like this one. He forced himself into the school by shooting the door and crawling through it. While there was very little to stop a person like this, however if a police was officer at the school to stop him once he was in the building thing would have been different. Having teachers with guns in schools, to help stop violence, is basically contradicting itself. Having untrained teachers carrying guns is dangerous. Being in a stressful situation that you are not ready for or trained for, will make you act out of randomness not thinking clearly of what is really going on. The situation I am referring to is a shooting in school. Very few teachers have had any experiences with guns. Out of all of the years I was in school, not including college, I had two teachers with military backgrounds. Those actually have used guns on other people. To have a teacher, that has only taught his or her entire life, pull a gun on a student would be very stressful and may not be able to act under that situation. Also many teachers may have a short temper in the first place and pull a gun on a student. That would be an entirely different situation that the school would need to handle in long hours of court time. Many teachers do not teach for the money. The range of salary for a high school teacher in Oklahoma it anywhere from $41,000. 00 to $61,000. 00. This is just for high school, the pay decreases from middle school all the way the elementary. Also most of the teachers are closer to the $41,000. 00 then the $61,000. 00, the teacher with the high end pay will mainly be more for private school teachers then public schools. This being said, teacher love their students. They think of them more as family, because more time is spent with them than with their real families. Many teachers would quit if guns could be carried by teacher. Like I said teacher are become teacher for the kids not for the money. If they were in it for the money, they would choose a different career past. The teacher lover there students, and they would rather quit than have a gun on them to protect them. The teacher lover there students so much they would rather quit then being in more danger into the schools. Guns on school premises would bring in a lot of different issues. The main one that I would see right off the bat would be storage of the guns. Would each teacher need to carry the gun with them at all times? If not that are there going to be safes in each of the class rooms to have the gun in, because any student can overpower a teacher and just take the gun if they wanted to. This would make the situation worse; the students would already have the weapons on school grounds. All they need to do is find a way to get it, and there will be students that will want to get the guns to cause harm, make a since, or just to prove a point. Teacher with guns just sounds bad. Making this a reality across the country will take a long time, because all the teachers will need to be trained to use guns. There needs to be many hours of training, so they would be shooting in a different direction when things like shooting happen. Also they will need to be trained on when to use the guns. Just when there is an intruder or when there is big outburst in school like a massive fight that gets out of control with a teacher and they are scared for their life. On the other hand you can have an armed police officer at the schools to prevent the shooting and even the violence. Just having a police officer present will help keep the students in line. The title of police officer has too many students, respect behind it and the students know that; students will have more respect for a police officer than one of their teachers with guns. This is because to them teachers are there to teach and the police officer is there just to keep everything in order. You may even go out and say for the principle of the school have a gun in his office, if the school does not have the funds to obtain an armed police officer as security. Having the principle of the school carry a gun is more understandable then every teacher having a gun. The principal has an office that no student is allowed into without the principal in the office with them. They would be much easier to keep track of, because everyone will know who has the gun and if anything happens someone can help from within the school. This would be much cheaper than having an armed police officer and teaching every teacher to shoot and carry a gun properly. This would be a good idea for low funded school, not the best idea but will help. I have looked into taking gun control classes. I have asked around for people to teach me, and the average cost per hour is anywhere from $25. 00 to $75. 00. They also charge per person that wants to learn how to shoot. The average cost hour may go down if there is a big group, but this is still a big number. As you can see the cost to teach all the teachers in a school will be an extraordinarily large amount. This is just cover the cost of shooting, not including the mental strength that needs to be taught in order to handle a gun against another person. This being said, having a police officer as guard at the schools would be cheaper. The average pay for an Oklahoma City Police Officer is about $47. 000. 00. This is a fairly large amount, but the advantages are much greater. They already have their gun training and mental strength to handle stressful situations. â€Å"No matter the risk, so that others may live†, this is said by many law enforcement officers. They are ready to do anything to save lives, even though they have their own families. This is there chose, now how many teachers are able to do this? The truth is that teacher my love their students, but some may think twice before acting in a harmful situation. This hesitation, if even for a second, can cost the lives of more people than good that it could bring. Schools are safer with policemen, not enough to stop a mentally ill person from getting in, but to stop violence in school. Even though the shooting in Newton was horrible, not all shootings are going to be like this one. Teaching teachers to shoot will cost more then, the actual cost of getting a police officer to guard to school grounds. Police officers will always be on top of their game in any harmful situation, this is their main priority keeping people safe. Police officers will be more alert on school shooting and the extra security installed will help prevent violence in the schools. Police officers are trained to be in stressful situations; and in case of a shooting, most teachers will not have the proper mental strength to pull the trigger. Over all a police officer will be able to act and live with whatever happens. Teachers will not be able to handle the situation as will, and for us to ask them for that is just wrong.

“What I Saw and How I Lied”

Why do we go through love, deceit, the pains of growing up, and figuring out who we are? The four things I have listed are not only themes in the book â€Å"What I Saw and How I Lied† by Judy Blundell, but some basic parts of life. Love is a complicated feeling, not only for you and the person you’re in love with but the people around you. Sometimes when you are in love with somebody, not everyone approves, and that brings complication because you want to be in love with whoever you want, but also please the person who doesn’t approve because you love them too, in a different way, of course.Deception also comes into play when it comes to the game love. When in love with someone the feelings should be mutual, if there is no mutuality then one of the two people in the relationship is being deceived. In all it only leads to constant deception and heart ache. There’s a very true and popular saying; â€Å"growing up is hard to do. † In life as we grow ol der we all have obstacles we have to face. Whether it’s getting along with your mom or trying to fit in, that’s just two examples out of thousands, these obstacles are not meant to torment you but only to prepare you for life in general and the many more obstacles to come.When it comes to figuring out who you are it’s just one of the hurdles on the track of life you have to jump and hope you don’t have to try again, but if you do you will. When you clear the jump, finally figuring out who you are there is a sense of completion and just another step to success in your life. Evie a fifteen year old girl, the main character, felt she was growing up the only thing stopping her was her mother, she felt as if her mother wasn’t allowing her to grow up.Evie’s mother wouldn’t do anything to give Evie a sense of growing up, she wouldn’t buy the kind of clothes girls her age wore, she wouldn’t let her wear her hair the way she want ed, and she certainly didn’t let her date boys. On the contrary though, Evie was determined to prove she was grown up she felt that to appear grown up you had to start with your physical appearance. â€Å"I want to wear lipstick. † Her mother was just as determined to prove to her that Evie shouldn’t want to row up too fast. â€Å"Don’t be in such a hurry to grow up, baby. † Evie knew it was going to be hard to prove to her mom, let alone herself, that she wasn’t a little girl anymore. Little did they both know Evie was going to a lot of growing up on their spontaneous trip to Palm Springs, Florida. Evie was very excited for their getaway, she thought this was her chance to prove she was grown up. Her plan to prove it to them was to show she could handle a relationship, but in all reality she couldn’t.Evie met a man name Peter and she fell in love with him, although it was forbidden. He was too old for her, and in her mother’s opinion she was too young to date. In addition, her step-father didn’t like him because they had some bad history together when they were in World War II together. Throughout the story Evie and Peter continue their forbidden relationship, meanwhile Peter is also having an affair with Evie’s mother. â€Å"You lied, you told me you loved me!†¦ Mom, you knew the whole time! This is where the deception comes in, not only was Evie being deceived by her own mother but by the man she thought loved her. The whole time Evie thought she was discovering maturity and love but in all actuality she discovered deception and betrayal. Sure deception and betrayal will make you do a little growing up, but only by getting rid of your naivety. Growing up should be a treasured part of life not tragic. For Evie becoming a mature young adult was tragic. She never learned what true love is, to be faithful and devoted to one another.The only good thing Evie learned is who she is, she fig ured out that she shouldn’t trust every new person that comes into her life with her feelings. In closing love, deceit, growing up, and figuring out who you are in life is hard, but they’re part of life and everybody goes through it. Although we all go through life differently, it’s still life, we have no choice but to go through it. We choose who we love and trust and the choices we make determine how far we go in life. The question is why does life have to be so challenging?
